Aase Haugen reports another staff member has tested positive for COVID19 and has been sent home to recover. This brings a total of 3 staff testing positive since November 10, 2020.  Residents continue to be isolated or quarantined according to Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) regulations.  We will contact families with any rooms changes and test results (both positive and negative) as soon as possible.

All residents and staff (who have not tested positive since August 24) continue to be tested on a regular basis according to state regulations. Residents were tested last Saturday and will be tested again this Wednesday. Staff are testing today and will be testing on Thursday as well.  Please note that statistics posted by Aase Haugen may differ from the IDPH or other sources due to different reporting timeframes.

Staff continue to wear personal protective equipment and are screened upon entering and leaving the building for signs or symptoms. Nurses working from outside organizations are required to provide the results of a COVID19 test.

In compliance with state and federal regulations, outdoor and indoor visits and beautician services remain suspended. Family and friends are encouraged to contact Aase Haugen Activities Department  at 563-382-3603, to connect with residents by using window visits, video chat, or phone calls. Floral deliveries and the delivery of items such as food and clothing dropped off by families are still be accepted at this time.

Thank you for your continued support.
