Recent implementation of improved advanced technology options has propelled Aase Haugen to better serve the needs of residents. “Through partnerships and integrations, we now have charting systems that interact directly with our primary hospitals and clinics,” says Rex Nelson, RN, BSN, Aase Haugen’s corporate nurse consultant. “This increases accuracy and continuity of care, ensuring our residents are served with excellent and timely care.” The new systems also ensure recommendations are followed and support fiscal responsibility by capturing reimbursement for the care provided. The therapy component also smoothly integrates therapy information and accountability along with netting compensation.

Aase has also implemented a camera technology for skin condition assessments which automates much of the data and allows prescribers to make decisions for resident treatment quickly and remotely if they choose.

“We have been examining the health care process at Aase Haugen from start to finish,” says Nelson. “This lead to also integrating a Client Relation Management software that streamlines the referral and admission process and decreases the burden of work for staff while increasing our resident and family satisfaction.”
