Kerndt Bros. Bank recently made a $50,000 pledge to the Aase Haugen “A New Place To Call Home” capital campaign to build a new nursing and assisted living facility in Decorah. “The campaign is well over halfway to our goal of raising $3 million dollars,” says Aase Haugen Vice President of Business Development Patty Casterton. Kerndt Brothers Savings Bank gives $50,000 to Aase Haugen’s the “A New Place to Call Home” Capital Campaign

Kerndt Brothers Savings Bank has stepped forward as a partner with Aase Haugen to support senior living in the community with a $50,000 pledge to the capital campaign. Bank CEO Jim Kerndt says, “We have been partnering with Aase Haugen for several years as they have successfully built the independent Nabotunet senior living neighborhood and we are excited to watch their success as they build a new long-term and assisted living facility to care for our families, neighbors and friends.”

Aase Haugen’s Capital Campaign steering committee has raised more than $1.5 million toward their $3 million goal. Sam Boeke, Aase Haugen executive director, says, “The confidence Kerndt Brothers Bank has shown to Aase over the years is incredible. We are grateful for their generous gift and for their steadfast belief in our mission, and in our staff, to succeed at providing the best elder care possible to our community.”
