Aase Haugen announces new partnership with Northern Iowa Therapy Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy

Northern Iowa Therapy (NIT) powered by FOX Rehab has partnered with Aase Haugen Senior Services to provide advanced occupational, physical and speech therapy services at the nursing home.  NIT will bring therapeutic programs, socialization, independent skill development, behavioral and nursing services, and a variety of activities, including community inclusion designed to meet the diverse needs of Aase residents. “NIT has a vision of providing extraordinary patient-centered therapy services that achieve remarkable outcomes,” says NIT Regional Director Amanda Dixon, MSOT, OTR/L, CLT. “We believe in the power of people and want to ensure each of our patients is able to love their best life while we support Aase Haugen’s business strategy and growth potential.”

“We are excited to partner with NIT,” says Aase Haugen Director of Nursing, Thea Hartzell, RN, BSN. “They bring more than 30 years of proven therapy experience that will benefit our residents with timey and consistent coverage that blends patient-centered need with outcome management, along with improving facility reimbursement through accurate reporting and planning.”

NIT is recognized a critical therapy leader with staff sitting on advisory boards of four therapy programs in Iowa as well as being actively involved in statewide advocacy including the drafting of therapy supervision laws and telehealth language in the Iowa PT/OT scope of practice regulations.

“We have a nationwide network of industry associations and infrastructure to ensure that we are always on top of any regulatory changes, also ensuring top level evidence-based practices and certifications for our therapy team,” says Dixon. “We are frequently asked to provide geriatric rehabilitation experts for state and national conferences and we’re so excited to bring this level of therapy to residents at Aase Haugen.”
